Gate is probably a word that Apple likes the least so with that in mind I’m taking the time to write about the latest Applegate and you heard it here first – Safarigate!

Reports are starting to come in saying that people who pre ordered the iPad Mini with Wi-Fi + Cellular are having their shipping notifications updated. According to these reports the iPad minis will start shipping within the next five business days.

Last week we discovered odd kinks forming in the thin cable of the MagSafe 2 power adapter that shipped with the mid-2012 11-inch MacBook Air we purchased. You can see them in the photo above. We went to a local Genius Bar and Apple replaced the adapter with one off of the store shelves.
I picked up a new MacBook Air mid-2012 11-inch notebook last week and although I’m enjoying the heck out of it I noted a weird anomaly with the MagSafe 2 adapter that shipped with the new computer. The anomaly appears after you start to wrap the adapters thin power cord which ends in the new MagSafe 2 connection around the prongs that are integrated into the power brick.
